El hombre más fuerte del mundo

Aquel día “el hombre que se creía el más fuerte del mundo” estaba melancólico. Recordó al niño a quien todos ninguneaban y que él había escondido bajo montañas de músculos, por fin descubrió, que para ser el más fuerte debía aceptar sus debilidades. Entonces "el hombre más fuerte del mundo” lloró.

That day, "the man who believed to be the strongest in the world" felt melancholic.
He remembered the kid to whom nobody would play with. That kid he has hidden under mountains of muscles.
As time and life went by, the man learned that to be the strongest he should accept his own weaknesses.
Only then, "the world's strongest man", wept.

El héroe Thomas

El día que Thomas salió de su casa para ir al frente, lo despidieron entre lágrimas, abrazos y buenos deseos.

Thomas lo tenía claro, de alguna manera, quería ser un héroe.

El día que Thomas regresó del frente, lo recibieron entre menciones y condecoraciones, marchas militares y salvas de honor, una preciosa bandera envolvía su caja.

Thomas, al fin, lo había conseguido.

The day Thomas left home to go for the front, everybody farewelled him among tears, hugs and good wishes.
Thomas had it clear. Somehow, he wanted to be a hero.
The day Thomas returned from the front, was received among honours and medals decorations, military marches and salvos of honor.
A beautiful flag wrapped up his box.
Thomas finally achieved his goal.

Imposturas

Llevaban tanto tiempo fingiendo ser lo que no eran... que cuando al fin decidieron ser ellos mismos, ya no fueron capaces de reconocerse.

They spent so much time pretending to be what they were not ... that when they finally decided to be themselves, were not able to recognize each other.

Amor a bocajarro

Llevaba varios días planeando en cómo hacerlo, su cabeza le decía que aquello no estaba bien, su corazón, que no podía dejarlo escapar.

Al fin fue en su busca, lo pilló desprevenido, se acopió de todo el valor que pudo reunir y lo hizo, a bocajarro.

Todo a su alrededor se detuvo un instante que le pareció infinito, hasta que un tímido

-si quiero - le llenó el corazón de gozo.

It Took him several days planning how to do it. Common sense said that it wasn´t quite right . His heart said he could not let this chance go.
Finally went for it and caught her off guard. After gathering up all his will and courage, he shot his question point blank.
Time stopped for an endless moment until a shy -Yes, I do - filled his heart with joy.
